Synopsis
Hungary, 1987: The focus of attention is Tibor, a brilliant chemist, who is working on secret formula designed to neutralize war gas. The KGB and the Hungarian secret police are trailing him in order to obtain the results of his research and infiltrate his circle of friends. He is murdered. Hungary 1991: Peter, his son, investigates his father´s death after returning from studying music in the USA and is also found dead in the Danube one day. The official explanation is that he committed suicide. Tibor´s wife Maria is left alone and slowly becomes schizophrenic. In a tense finale, the entire conspiracy is uncovered, and the true characters of all those involved are revealed.
