The White Ribbon

Germany's filmmakers have nominated the film, "The White Ribbon" to be considered at the Oscars for the best foreign film 2010. The Oscar's will take place on March 7, 2010 at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles. Synopsis Some inexplicable events disturb the quiet life of a German village, just before World War I. A cable has been put up to trip the doctor riding his horse, a barn is set on fire, two children are abducted and tortured… The schoolteacher observes, investigates and little by little discovers the incredible truth.
