A colourful, hilarious and fast-paced thriller for children. The Mupfer Gang solve the abduction of Ivonka Pivonka and, in the process, engage in an ongoing struggle with another gang of kids, while at the same time, a first love blossoms, and alongside all of this we witness the rather irreverent world of grown-ups. The characters convey the freedom and independence of a Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn; parents appear only on the periphery.
