Farmers live next door to academics, longtime residents next to newly-arrived artists, pensioners next to senior managers. The village of Mogersdorf in southern Burgenland reflects the new reality in small, rural villages. While a majority of the villagers must commute to jobs in the city, urbanites are increasingly homes there for the quality of life which they find in the countryside.
